Board Butter Made the Right Way

Not all wood is the same — and neither is our board butter. We've developed two proprietary formulas specifically engineered for the way your board is built, so you're never guessing what to use or how much to apply.

Both formulas are made from organic, USDA food-safe ingredients and packaged in our signature branded 2 oz tin. No synthetic additives. No fillers. Just a clean, purposeful blend that protects and nourishes the wood you've invested in.

The Formulas

• End Grain Formula — End grain boards absorb conditioner faster and more deeply due to the open wood pores exposed at the cut surface. Our end grain formula is blended to penetrate quickly and create a lasting moisture barrier from the inside out. Ideal for butcher blocks and end grain cutting boards.
• Edge Grain Formula — Edge grain surfaces are denser and less porous, requiring a formula that conditions the surface and seals the grain without over-saturating. Our edge grain formula delivers a smooth, protective finish that enhances the natural figure of the wood.

Ingredients

Organic beeswax, food-grade mineral oil, carnauba wax, vitamin E, and essential lemon oil. All ingredients are USDA food-safe and chosen for their proven performance in wood care.

How to Use

Apply a small amount to a clean, dry board using a soft cloth or your fingers. Work the butter into the surface in a circular motion, then allow it to absorb for 20–30 minutes. Wipe away any excess. Repeat monthly or as needed.
